A Silent Voice/Koe no Katachi is heading to the States, with a slated October release for this year.

The movie was released in Japan last year, and is set to release in U.S theaters come 20 October this year with Eleven Arts Anime Studios as the distributor.

A Silent Voice is about Shoya Ishida, a school bully and Shoko Nishimiya, a deaf mute girl victimised by Ishida, and the movie explores how their lives intersect as they grow older.

The movie itself is an adaptation of the manga of the same name by Yoshitoki Oima, and the movie is directed by Naoko Yamada (K-On!) and written by Reiko Yoshida (Digimon, Girls und Panzer).

Hopefully, our friends over in the U.S enjoy it as much as we did!
