While Miyazaki is currently directing another movie, many are re-watching or finding some of Miyazaki’s older masterpieces be it on Ebay or Amazon.
Thankfully, Amazon is willing to give the Miyazaki fans what they wanted. The set is currently exclusive to Amazon only and will be available for sale on the 17 November in the form of a Blu-ray set.
The set is called The Collected Works of Hayao Miyazaki will includes all eleven of his feature films such as Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Castle in the Sky, My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Porco Rosso, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Ponyo, and The Wind Rises.
The set will also includes a 1972 television pilot based from the manga Yuki no Taiyo (Yuki’s Sun) by Tetsuya Chiba, three episodes from the 1972 anime Akado Suzunosuk (Little Samurai), an uncut version of Miyazaki’s Retirement Press Conference and lastly a book titled The Great Dichotomy: Looking at the Works of Hayao Miyazaki by Tomohiro Machiyama which explores Miyazaki’s themes and techniques and includes selected text from notes and proposals for his feature films.
So if you’re a Miyazaki fan, you might want to pick it up.
