3. Outlast
Now THIS is a game that combines everything you could ever want in a horror game.
You have terrifying atmosphere, insane inmates chasing you, wandering around in the dark and the occasional puzzle to solve as you try to escape the psychiatric hospital you’ve found yourself in. Outlast is extremely story driven too, which is made even better by the ridiculous amounts of jumpscares and assorted moments of terror as the protagonist fights for his life.
You will find no real combat here, so you need only your wits and nerves of steel. Don’t forget to pick up the Whistleblower DLC for some extra story!
