Five Nights at Freddy's World

We announced not too long back that Five Nights at Freddy’s creator Scott Cawthon was working on an RPG that’s based off his popular horror franchise. As such he’s just released a teaser for his new game Five Nights at Freddy’s World.

For those expecting more horror, you’ll find that its totally different from the previous four games. While the teaser promises the usual spooky terrors but it looks like you’ll be getting a colourful turn-based RPG instead. Complete with cheerful music.

So you will be following the adventures of Freddy Fazbot and do battle with enemies using pizza, cupcakes and the occasional song.

The reason behind this is that Cawthon wanted to use the Five Nights at Freddy’s characters in a “new and fun way because they were so near and dear to my heart” stating that he was also excited to work on a type of game that he hasn’t made in ages.

From what we can tell, there will be a fair bit of world exploring too, so we’re not entirely sure how it will fit into the current franchise. Maybe this is how Freddy’s crew was meant to be portrayed before everything went to hell?

The game will still include all of the previous characters, including the classic, withered, toy, phantom and nightmare versions. This pretty much opens up the ability to make a party out of a gigantic selection of characters, and we’re personally looking forward to having a party full of Mangles.

Five Nights at Freddy’s World will be hitting Android, iOS and PC in 2016.
