Themed weddings seem all the rage lately, with a Singaporean couple recently having their own Power Rangers wedding not too long back. This couple from Indonesia just had their very own special day with a Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings theme and it looks amazing.
The two newlyweds, Rekhaza Panji Riawan, 28 and Sista Mauli Wulandari, 27 recently tied the knot and threw a medieval-fantasy themed wedding very much inspired by Games of Thrones and Lord of the Rings in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The bride and groom were even dressed as their favorite characters with Riawan dressed as King Joffrey Baratheon (complete with an impressive sword) and Wulandari donned a floor-length cape as the Elven Queen, Galadriel and she even put on elf ears to complete the look.
Wulandari, a brand strategist originally met her creative director husband at Bonus University, West Jakarta almost a decade ago before they hit it off.
To top it off, the couples’ close friends wore green elf robes and flower crowns and had their own army of guards wearing handmade brown robes and carried wooden swords. Now that’s dedication.
The themed nuptial saw 600 guests and took under a year to plan, but cost a pretty penny, with the couple spending £10,000 (about RM56,000) to kick it off. But by the looks of it, it was honestly worth every penny.
