The toughest competitors in the Southeast Asian region are converging in Indonesia for Vainglory‘s Summer 2017 Southeast Asia Championship that’s happening in Jakarta!

In collaboration with Indonesia’s leading telco Telkomsel, Telkomsel’s Dunia games and Vainglory are bringing the best four teams in the region together for an intense two-day tourney. It will be broadcasted live in Jakarta and will take place on 9-10 September, being the biggest Vainglory event in the SEA region to date.

In a nutshell, Vainglory is a 3 vs. 3 battle between two teams, where players control a single hero and the goam is to shatter the Vain (a giant crystal) in the enemy team’s base. Whoever shatters the enemy’s crystal first is the winner. The Vainglory8 is a competitive format that is played worldwide and every season each region’s top teams compete in the Vainglory 8 to qualify for seasonal championships events.

The winner of the Summer Season 2017 Championship will get to go to the Vainglory World Championships!

Here are the teams that are hitting Jakarta this season, with Elite8 being confirmed for the World Championships in Singapore later this year and will represent the Indonesian Vainglory community:

Attending the event will be famous eSports personalities from Indonesia and around the region, like Danelie Purdue from eGG Network as well as shoutcasters Rikki “Riku” Quaipon and Darwell “Asurai” Llerena from MineskiTV at the tournament.

If you can’t catch it in person, the Championships will be livestreams on 9-10 September starting at 2PM SGT (GMT +8) on the eGG Network, Facebook, Mobcrush and Dunia Games Youtube channels.
