Legendary composer John Williams announced that he will be back to score Episode VIII, and we’re extremely excited that he’s returning for another Star Wars movie.

He reportedly told the crowd at a live show in Boston that he signed on to score the movie after seeing an early cut of the film. As he was “enchanted by Daisy Ridley’s portrayal of Rey” Williams was offered the project by Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy ; who didn’t want another composer to handle Rey’s scenes.

Williams had also scored The Force Awakens, but isn’t on for the upcoming Star Wars flick Rogue One. He will be working together with director Rian Johnson on scoring Episode VIII, and will be starting work next month.

Star Wars: Episode VIII will pick up immediately where The Force Awakens left off, and will be directed by Rian Johnson, starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.

Star Wars: Episode VIII will be in cinemas come 15 December 2017.
