A wisecracking smuggler in a galaxy far far away once said, “Fast ship? You’ve never heard of the Millennium Falcon? It’s the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs.” Indeed, for many of us, the Millennium Falcon is perhaps the coolest vehicle ever created. And guess what? Now, you can own your very own Millennium Falcon. The LEGO UCS Millennium Falcon that is.

The UCS Millennium Falcon was released many years ago and is currently being sold in secondary markets for a whopping 5, 000 USD. So, when the news of re-release broke, many considered it to be a hoax, especially since details were released on April fools day (see Reddit image below)

75192 Millennium falcon? from lego

According to Reddit, the price of this Millennium Falcon is roughly around 699, 99 Euros. While many people were wondering if it’s a hoax or not, Geek Culture claims that the news is most likely accurate. Here are some details released by Geek Culture:

  • The image above is visually similar to internal LEGO decks we’ve seen in the past
  • The price is indeed accurate at €699.99. This makes it the most expensive LEGO set ever released at retail
  • The price for Singapore should come in between SGD$999.99 – SGD$1199.99
  • The Ultimate Collector’s Series 75192 Millennium Falcon will have the highest piece count for any LEGO set at 6XXX pieces. Until final release, this set is currently gunning for the crown of highest brick count for any LEGO set as well
  • The release is slated for late Q4 2017, just in time for the next Star Wars movie!

If this piece of information is accurate, it is time to get HYPED (no pun intended).

Now, all I need is a large sum of cash to actually buy it. Perhaps I should consider robbing banks? I wonder if Dominic Toretto and his Fast and Furious gang are hiring new family members.

My biggest pet peeve is when someone says “no pun intended” when they CLEARLY meant that pun.
