Updated: Another 2 posters have been unveiled of Quicksilver and Hawkeye and when you put all of them together you get one mega poster. Two more to go.

Can’t wait for Marvel’s follow up to The Avengers movie? Maybe these bunch of posters that were made exclusively for Comic-Con 2014 might get you even more excited.

So far, four posters have been unveiled and they’re of Captain America, the Scarlet With, Iron Man and the Black Widow. We’d really want to get our hands on them but we’d actually have to be physically at Comic-Con to get them as they’re available at Marvel’s booth while stocks last. Not there? Well you can at least see them in their digital glory here. Considering the other characters set to appear in the movie, do expect more of these posters to come out over the weekend.

The Sigma dp2 Quattro debuts in Malaysia

The very unconventional dp2 Quattro from Sigma
The very unconventional dp2 Quattro from Sigma

The Sigma dp2 Quattro is a compact digital camera that you might not have heard off or even considered, but now it’s here in Malaysia.

This is one unconventional digital compact and you can tell when you first take a look at it. It doesn’t have the conventional camera shape, opting for a long, thing body with a bent end, somewhat similar to a golf club. That’s not the only thing though. This camera, doesn’t come with an interchangeable lens or a zoom. Now, non-interchangeable lenses we get but no zoom? In the case of dp2 Quattro launched in Malaysia, it comes with a fixed-length 30mm f/2.8 lens.

Sigma hasn’t stopped the unusual features there either. The dp2 Quattro comes with a sensor that is not likely to be seen in your typical compact or DSLR, since its only used in Sigma cameras. It’s called a Foveon sensor, and in the case of the dp2 Quattro, it’s the Foveon X3 sensor. What makes this sensor unique is that unlike conventional camera sensors that use a single layer of photo-receptors, the Foveon sensors uses three layers, each corresponding to a different RGB colour. This according to Sigma allows the camera to capture more accurate colours, and with no low-pass filter, it also manages to capture images with incredible detail. Pretty great right? If you’re wondering just what sort of detail it captures, its the equivalent to 39-megapixel high resolution.

Sounds great right, the only thing is that whole fixed-length lens feature of the Sigma dp2 Quattro makes it an incredibly specialised camera. We know it looks oh so sexy with that magnesium body and the camera geek in us just wants one, but its more likely that because of its incredibly limited usage, we won’t really need it. Then again that has never stopped camera geeks from getting any sort of gear anyway.

So still not scared off by how specialised this compact camera is? Well you can pre-order it from Audio & Photo Distributor (F.E) Sdn Bhd and is retailing at RM5088.
