Looks like Ghibli fans will be able to immerse themselves into the world of My Neighbor Totoro with the opening of this Ghibli theme park!
The place is set to open outside Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture and is set in the world of My Neighbor Totoro, allowing visitors to enjoy nature and all things Totoro. Ghibli Park won’t really have rides but expect a lot of greenery on the 200 hectare plot.
One of the things that makes the place special is that there’s a replica of Satsuki and Mei’s house, and it’s not your average exhibit. While there are some rules on photography, you are allowed to touch everything in the house. Drawers, shoes, hidden doors, clothes, you can explore everything and frankly it’s amazing.
