6. Hataraku Maō-sama! (The Devil’s a Part timer)

Devil is a partimer

There are some expectations if one is a demon-king. Scary, all-powerful, vicious and evil seems to come to mind. But what if, he’s just a lowly part-timer in a fast food restaurant? That’s the the situation that demon-king Sadou Maou finds himself in.

After he and his forces are bested, Sadou Maou finds himself banished to modern day Japan, where in order to survive, he must take human form and get a part-time job. You got to admit there is quite a bit of hilarity involved when an all powerful demon has to serve customers in a fast-food chain.

And despite himself getting into all sorts of trouble, the series also has a surprisingly amount of heart to it. Instead of thriving on the despair of others, Maou actually uses his hellish powers for good, often to his own detriment as well.
