2. Traffic woes
While it is technically not really anybody’s fault, many were unprepared for the magnitude of congestion that followed Comic Fiesta Day 1. The only ones that were able to escape the big jam which lasted till 12 midnight were the ones who took public transport and those who stayed in the nearby hotels; and even then those who stayed at Palace of the Golden Horses ended up stuck in traffic for hours despite the hotel being rather close by.
This resulted in a fair bit deciding not to come on Day 2, some even selling off their admission tickets as they didn’t feel like they could have survived another round of terrible traffic.
Granted the area is somewhat known to face bad traffic but nobody was ready for this. Yes, the committee recommended people take public transport where they were able but didn’t provide much warning on potential congestion – especially with this many attendees.
