6. Corpse Party
Even the title of this anime sounds pretty promising. Corpse Party takes place in the Heavenly Host Elementary School, a place where a certain bunch of students ends up trapped after performing a mysterious ritual called the “Sachiko Ever After” charm. Unfortunately for them, the school is haunted by the ghost of murdered children and now they have to find their way out and survive.
This anime is filled with lots of violence and gore but it isn’t just the blood fest that makes this anime scary. There are many times a situation that will really creep the hell out of you and even make you extremely disturbed. If you found Elfen Lied to be your kind of anime, than you’ll find Corpse Party: Tortured Souls even more disturbing. If it’s not enough though, you could always find the original game the anime was based of on as we heard it’s a lot more scarier than this adapatation.
