In the last couple of years, competitive gaming has picked up steam and it’s really thanks to DOTA 2. The MOBA is one of the most played games in the world and with their yearly tournament, The International, hitting a combined prize of over US$10 million last year, it is also one of the most lucrative.
Free to Play explores the journey of three entrants of The International and explores their journey to the tournament. Although the contents of this particular documentary might seem a bit dated as it chronicles their journey to The International 2011, it is still relevant watching as the issues that some of these players face is a recurring theme for a lot of potential pro-gamers out there. A must watch for any MOBA and DOTA fan.
