2. Not just for kids
Marvel’s superhero movies may be lots of fun, but take away all that flash and pizzazz, and there really isn’t much depth to speak of. At the end of the day, there is still that lingering perception that their superhero movies are made for kids (and adults who still haven’t grown up, like me).
Well, if there’s one thing Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy proved, it’s that superhero movies can be serious as well. Man Of Steel may have digressed into a Kryptonian disaster movie by the end of it, but it still explored more mature themes like family, origin, and the nature versus nurture theme. So if you ever get tired of Marvel’s brand of superhero fluff, DC should sate your appetite for more mature superhero films.
