A new visual has been dropped for the live-action Tokyo Ghoul film, and it reveals Fumika Shimizu in costume as Tōka Kirishima.
For the first time in 12 years, Shimizu actually cut her long hair just to match Tōka’s look. Last month, the movie’s production staff also revealed a visual of Masataka Kubota as Ken Kaneki, wearing his iconic ghoul mask.
Speaking of the ghoul masks, they’re designed by Masanori Morikawa, a Christian Dada designer who happens to also be a fan of the original manga.
Additional cast includes Yuu Aoi as Rize Kamishiro, Nobuyuki Suzuki as Kotaro Amon and Yo Oizumi as Kureo Mado. Kentaro Hagiwara is directing.
The live-action Tokyo Ghoul film is expected to hit cinemas in Japan Summer 2017.
