One of the latest mangas to get the live-action treatment is none other than Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, which will be helmed by Takashi Miike and, Warner Bros. Japan and Toho, the very same behind the Godzilla franchise.
As of the moment, the franchise already has an anime series, feature film, video games, novels, and countless other merchandise, with the manga localized to English by Viz Media.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Diamond Is Unbreakable (JoJo no Kimyo na Boken Daiyamondo wa Kudakenai) will be based on the fourth story arc of the 117-volume manga, as written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki, selling over 95 million copies since its inception in 1987.

The manga is mostly about the Joestar family, whose members battle the supernatural using their own special powers known as stands. The lead character, Josuke Higashikata will be played by Kento Yamazaki. No other cast members have yet to be announced.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Diamond Is Unbreakable is set to hit theaters in Summer 2017, with Warner Bros. Japan and Toho planning for a global release.
