Fans of the Gundam series will get the opportunity to check out the upcoming Gundam the Origin III: Dawn of Rebellion as the website Gundam.info posted the first 13 minutes of the film on YouTube.
The film is the third episode of the Mobile Suit Gundam: the Origin series, which is adapted from the Mobile Suit Gundam: Origin manga which ran for a decade from 2001.
Gundam the Origin III: Dawn of Rebellion follows the transition of Casval Rem Deikun into Char Aznable and his exploits in the Zeons’ military academy. It also introduces his future comrade Garma Zabi.
The first Gundam the Origin animated series debut with a limited theatrical release of Blue-Eyed Casval in February last year and the second instalment, Artesia’s Sorrow opened in Japan last October.
Gundam the Origin III: Dawn of Rebellion will be released in selected theatres Japan for two weeks starting May 21. On the day of its release in Japan, a limited edition version of the Blu-Ray disc will go on sale at the screening. The limited edition version also sees a worldwide release on May 28 and the standard edition of the animated film will be available on DVD and Blu-Ray in Japan on June 10.
The animated film is available in Japanese with English, French, Korean, or Chinese subtitles, as well as audio dubbed in English.
