A short teaser is out for Goro Taniguchi’s (Code Geass) latest work, Active Raid: Special Public Security Fifth Division Third Mobile Assault Eight Unit / アクティヴレイド －機動強襲室第八係－ or Active Raid: Kidou Kyoushuushitsu Dai Hakkei .
The story is set in near future Tokyo in which, devastated parts of the mega city have sank into the earth. At the same time, development of new exoskeleton suits nicknamed “Willware” is accelerated to deal with this new geological phenomenon to assist in rebuilding the city. However, some people saw the lethal potential in the Willware and quickly began abusing it to commit crime. To combat this, a special police force was formed to deter it.

The Code Geass director will working with episodic director Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman series), character designing by Shun Saeki and Animation Character designer Asako Nishida. Script is written by Naruhisa Arakawa (Outbreak Company, Dragon Drive) and music scoring of Active Raid fells to Kotaro Nakagawa. Orange will be handling the 3D CG effects and production house is Production IMS (Date A Live series, Shinmai Maou no Testament series).
Active Raid will be aired in Japan in January 2016.
