An email from Amazon UK might be indicating that the DVD release of The Avengers: Age of Ultron might feature the extended version of the film which includes an “alternate” ending.
The email essentially is informing potential buyers that the movie is up for pre-order on DVD and Blu-ray. One of the features described by Amazon UK “includes an extended version and alternate ending.” Considering that Joss Whedon’s had to trim down the reported three and a half hours long footage, this did not come as a surprise. It does make you wonder what this alternate ending might just be.
The director announced a month ago that The Avengers: Age of Ultron will not include the traditional stinger at the end of credit roll which is already an expected feature with Marvel Cinematic Universe stable. Few fans are feeling that maybe Whedon will include the end credit scene for DVD and Blu-ray release hence the announcement of “alternate ending” in Amazon UK’s email.
Some fans speculate that Amazon UK might make a mistake in their email but so far, Marvel and Amazon did not make any attempt to rectify this if it is truly an error. So there is a good chance that fans will able to watch the full 3 hours plus of the movie and alternate ending as indicated in the email.
Maybe another shawarma scene?
