Angelina Jolie has just been confirmed to be back in the saddle for the upcoming Maleficent sequel.
Originally releasing in 2014, the movie was a success so we’re not surprised there is a sequel in the works even but its great that Jolie is back to reprise her amazing performance as the self-proclaimed Mistress of Evil.
We’re not sure where they will be taking the script (as the first film did focus on Maleficent’s past somewhat) and some of the events of Sleeping Beauty but Jolie says that it’s going to be a “strong sequel”.
There’s no release date announced yet for Maleficent 2 but it could be anywhere from 6 April 2018 – 20 December 2019.
