Animangaki 2016

How much can you look like street food or a handful of pixels?

Gijinka is the Japanese word for personification or humanisation, and Malaysian festival AniManGaki is having a cosplay contest themed around bringing street food to life.

Entrants to the contest (solo or pairs) will be judged on design & concept, complexity of execution, costume and props, and stage performance.

There are only 12 entry slots, and registration is open until the end of July. AniManGaki is being held at the 27th and 28th of August at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Center – the convention has run there yearly since 2009.

The convention has also released details on their Cosplay PX competition, wherein those entering need to incorporate pixels (in some form) into their performance.
