It’s finally 2017 and with it, comes a fresh batch of anime for the year. However, just what exactly should we be paying attention to, considering the legion of titles, movies and series that’ll be coming out this year. Not to worry, we’ve come up with our list of upcoming anime that you’ll have to watch this year, so you won’t have to rack your brains too much.
This list focuses on anime that are debuting in 2017, whether they’re a brand new series, a sequel season to another show or even an animated feature/movie. We’ve only included entries that we are absolutely sure will be getting a 2017 release, so the new Evangelion, steins gate 0, and season 2 of the seven deadly sins won’t be included. Despite that, though, we’re hoping that they will be hitting the screens this year as well.
So with that let’s check out the 10 anime to watch in 2017, listed by us in no particular order.
1. “Attack on Titan” Season 2
Time to get your 3-Dimensional manoeuvre gear ready and see gigantic heads roll as the Survey Corps are back, continuing their war against the threat of the monstrous Titans.
With the female Titan defeated in Season 1 and the revealing of the mysteries surrounding the wall, Season 2 of Attack on Titan will see the return of fan favourites like Levi and Mikasa, Jean and Eren. Also, if the manga is followed to the letter, we’re definitely going to be seeing a truly royal rumble of epic proportions.
For many fans, this is the sequel we’ve been promised for quite some time. So please, please, please don’t go about cancelling it again!
