The much waited Ant-Man‘s marketing campaign is finally crawling forward, despite it’s long and troubled production run under Edgar Wright, who was dropped due to creative differences. But it remains in question if the movie will be able to continue Marvel’s current streak of releasing commercially and critically successful movies based on it’s superhero franchises.

The casting consists of Paul Rudd (Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, They Came Together) as Ant-Man, Evangeline Lily (the she-elf in The Hobbit) as Hope Van Dyne, Corey Stoll (Dark Places) as Darren Cross /Yellowjacket and Micheal Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym. John Slattery will come back as Howard Stark, Tony Stark’s estranged father from Iron Man 2.

Helmed by Peyton Reed (Bring it On, Yes Man), the movie has an interestingly respectable cast and a plot premise that promises to tie deeper into the pasts of both Agent Carter and Howard Stark, S.H.E.I.L.D. and possibly even the Avengers.

We can barely wait for the release from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the meantime, check out this teaser trailer below. Full trailer will be expected on 6 January 2015 with the premiere of Agent Carter on ABC. The movie is expected to see release on 17 July 2015.

Update on 6 January, Marvel released a full teaser trailer here.
