Having added additional servers for the European region very recently, now some Asian countries have gotten their own dedicated servers for Pokemon Go, likely in preparation of an Asian roll-out. Whoo!
As of the moment, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan and the Philippines have their own servers. We expect other Asian countries like Vietnam, Brunei, Myanmmar and Cambodia will be next on the list to get their own dedicated servers; with the Malaysian region to be sharing a server with Singapore.
This brings us to a grand total of 47 server worldwide; with the mass majority of them already operational. No idea if and when we will be getting the game ourselves but the fact that there is a dedicated server already up in our immediate region means it shouldn’t be too long now.
