Ubisoft has just announced that they’re working on an Assassin’s Creed-themed VR experience in partnership with Fox and visual effects house Practical Magic.

While the details are somewhat scant for the project, Ubisoft states that it will be based off the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie that’s happening this December. However, they want to make it clear that this will be a VR experience and not a game. So sorry fans, you probably won’t get to parkour around on your own in this one.

The VR experience was shot alongside the movie and includes locations in Spain, Malta and the UK.

As for Practical Magic, they’re apparently helmed by Bud Myrick, who’s worked on effects for movies like X-Men 2, Serenity and Men in Black 2.

“We’re excited about the announcement of the Assassin’s Creed VR Experience and we look forward to working with New Regency, Fox and Practical Magic to share more in the future,” said Ubisoft spokesperson, Michael Beadle.

Hopefully we’ll get more details about this soon, but we’re expecting it to show up close to or concurrently with the movie’s release.
