Following their tend of running live screenings of major eSports tournaments, The Shanghai Major DOTA 2 tournament is heading to Astro SuperSport.

To be aired live starting 2 – 6 March, The Shanghai Major is free for all Astro subscribers on Astro SuperSport Plus Channgel 808 and Astro on the Go.

Previously, Astro has played host to the BlizzCon World Championships, The Frankfurt Major and The International (TI5), so we guess we could say that eSports is mainstream (and widespread) enough that people really want to view their matches as much as more traditional sports.

This year’s tourney will be host to the worlds best pro DOTA 2 players including team Fnatic, lead by our very own Mushi. The teams will be battling it out for the prize pool of 3 million USD in Shanghai.
