ASUS recently launched not one but two new devices for the Malaysian market, the much awaited ASUS Transformer T300 Chi which was initially announced at CES this year alongside a brand new ZenBook device the UX305.
The ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi is a razor-thin two in one Windows hybrid tablet PC with a detachable keyboard. Built for both work and play, the laptop essentially transforms into a tablet when you remove the magnetized keyboard and it comes with Windows 8.1 out of the box.
Under the hood there is a Intel Core M processor in an all aluminum fanless design, a 12.5 inch IPS display with a dense 235ppi pixel density; higher than a MacBook Air’s 127ppi. There’s also 4GB of RAM under the hood and 128GB SSD for storage. It is a little heavy though, at 1.43 kg it feels most of the weight is concentrated at the keyboard area.
The Chi will be hitting the market at the end of March for RM 3,199.
Also announced was ASUS’s new ZenBook UX305 13.3 inch laptop that’s just 12.3mm thin. Very slim and light, the ultraportable laptop also packs an Intel Core M processor, Windows 8.1, 128GB or 256GB SSD, 4GB and optional 8GB RAMconfiguration, HD 720p CMOS module camera and a 13.3 inch IPS at 1920 x 1080. The laptop only weighs a lightweight 1.2kg and is made more for people on the go but doesn’t compromise on performance. The Zenbook UX305 comes in two configurations, starting from RM 2,399.
