The news comes from the newly posted cover of the July issue of Monthly Hero’s.
Osamu Tezuka’s classic series Astro Boy has been a seminal classic of manga and anime for decades – and the prequel Atom The Beginning has been running since the start of 2015.
The manga is helmed by Tetsuro Kasahara, whose other major work is the futuristic motorcycle action series Ride Back – which also received an anime adaptation in 2009.
Little is known about the anime series of Atom The Beginning save that Masami Yuki (creator of Birdy the Mighty) is credited with concept work.
