Dragon Ball Family
The Dragon Ball family has grown and aged over the years

Bandai Namco and Drecom’s new company, Breakthrough X Digital Life (BXD) will develop a gaming platform to release HTML5-based online games with franchises like Dragon Ball Z, Famista and The IDOLM@STER under its belt.

The new games will be developed for browser, but will be for smartphone use using a free to play model. Some features of the service will have charges but at its core, will be free.

BXD is headed by Bandai Namco Entertainment’s NE division’s Koji Tezuka, who is currently the second production general manager for the company. BXD itself will launch on 3 August, with plans to also distribute third-party titles.

The as of yet unnamed service will be launching sometime in spring 2018.
