Bandai Namco has just registered the trademark for a new Katamari game, complete with domain name.
Spotted on the European Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market’s database, the game which is going by Tap My Katamari (which makes it sound a lot like a mobile game) also has a site name but has yet to be populated.
The Katamari series has seen seven releases so far, since it came to be with Katamari Damacy for the PS2 in 2004. It charmed the world with its absurd and colourful ball rolling action and extremely catchy music.
There aren’t any more details about the game yet but we have plenty to believe that it will be the next game in the Katamari franchise. The franchise hasn’t had anything new since 2012 where they released Touch My Katamari on the PlayStation Vita.
