Harebrained Schemes, the team behind the Shadowrun Returns, Necropolis and Golem Arcana are bringing back another classic to the PC, BattleTech! They will be working with Jordan Weisman, the creator of BattleTech and MechWarrior to bring us the first turn-based BattleTech game in over twenty years.
So far, the game is set to be an open-ended Mercenaries-style campaign which meshes RPG style Mech and MechWarrior management with modern turn based tactics. They haven’t revealed much more than these images and details about the game, but they’ve confirmed that the project is going to hit Kickstarter this Fall.
It’s been a great year for remakes and revisits to series we all know and love and given Harebrained’s track record, they’re unlikely to disappoint.
