Destiny‘s Ghost is getting a new voice actor, with Bungie scrapping Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) as the voice of your little floating personal assistant.
Apparently the reason for ditching the original voice of the Dinklebot, as fans have affectionately been calling it, is because he was so bad at it they decided to expunge Dinklage from the game entirely. The script will remain the same, with the team going back and re-recording all his lines with voice acting from Nolan North, the voice behind Uncharted’s Nathan Drake. North will be working with the team starting with The Taken King this September.
We’re not sure if the change will do much for the game, considering most of Ghost’s scripted dialogue is well, straightforward we suppose. But given the complaints about Dinklage’s performance we suppose this was inevitable. Let’s hope North’s take on the script is much more memorable.
