Malaysian G-Shock fans are in for a treat. Casio has released a new G-Shock, the GPW-1000 GravityMasterand it’s packed with some pretty interesting features.

Casio claims that the G-Shock GPW-1000 GravityMaster is the first watch in the world with a hybrid timekeeping system. On top receiving radio wave time calibration signals (also known as Atomic timekeeping), this timekeeper is also able to receive GPS signals to accurately adjust its time display, even if you’re in a different time-zone and have to deal with irritating daylight savings. This is done with the help six signal stations worldwide.

With an additional GPS receiver built-in, you might be wondering just how much juice this watch drains. Not much though, you can expect it to last as long as any G-Shock watch. This is due to its low-power GPS LSI and shadow-dispersing solar cells that allows the watch to receive GPS signals without putting any extra strain on the batteries.

Of course being a G-Shock, the GPW-1000 GravityMaster comes with the legendary shock resistant features that have made the watch such an icon an a popular timepiece among users. It’s also water resistant up to 200 meters.

Being a G-Shock we do expect some colour variants as well and the GPW-1000 GravityMaster is no different. It comes with in three colour variants, Blue (GPW-1000-1A), Black (GPW-1000-1B) and Orange (GPW-1000-4A). And how much do we expect to fork out for this new shock resistant timekeeper? A pretty penny of RM3,259.
