Casio has just revealed two brand new cameras for the Malaysian market, the Casio EX-FR200 action camera and the selfie-centric EX-ZR5000.
The EX-FR200 is Casio’s latest iteration of their rugged action camera, the FR100. They generally share the same looks but it sports updated specs and a brand new lens.
For starters, it has a 21.14-megapixel 1/2.3 inch CMOS sensor paired with a 1.35mm f/2.8 aperture lens, which basically gives the camera a huge fish-eye view of the world. It also comes in two seperate parts, the lens and the main unit which both can function independently.
They can shoot in four scene modes, Dome View, 360-degree panoramas, 208-degree super wide angles and you can capture a full 360-degree image if you stick two cameras back to back. IT also can shoot 4K video at 30fps, Full HD at up to 60fps and slowmo footage at 720p, 120fps.
This gives you a variety of shooting styles including “camera style”, “selfie style” and “separate style”. It also supports Bluetooth Smart for quick file transfers.
Of course, since it’s made for the outdoors, it can withstand falls up to 1.3m and is dust and water resistant up to 1.7m without a housing, with 1.5m resistance for the LCD monitor, along with being freeze-proof.
Along launched is the Casio EX-ZR5000 digital camera which is built for selfies.
The 12.1 megapixel camera designed for wide-angle photos, the being able to take two images, a wide angled and telephoto image, and recompose them to make the best image you can. It also has an upgraded beautify feature that hides blemishes as well as a screen that flips up for easier selfie-taking.
