The first teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan‘s (The Dark Knight) self-penned WWII Film Dunkirk is here and it really gives the vibe of mounting tension.
Inspired by Operation Dynamo, a 1940 mission that freed over 300,000 trapped Allied troops from the French city of Dunkirk, where they were held captive by the Nazis in WWII.
The movie itself is described as an “epic action triller” and if the trailer is any indication, it certainly knows how to build the tension despite not actually showing much footage.
Dunkirk stars Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Kenneth Branagh, Mark Rylance, James D’Arcy and Harry Styles, and is set to release 21 July 2017.
