The official Instagram account for the upcoming Power Rangers reboot just dropped these cool character posters, each featuring one member of the Power Rangers. Check them out here.
As for the cast, we have Becky G, RJ Cyler, Naomi Scott, Ludi Lin and Dacre Montgomery as Trini, Billy, Kimberly, Zack and Jason, with villain Rita Repulsa played by Elizabeth Banks. Bryan Cranston will be portraying Zordon and David Denman will be Sam Scott as the Red Ranger’s father.
Directing the film is Dean Israelite, along with John Gatins, Burk Sharpless, Max Landis, Matt Sazama, Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller producing the script for the film. Brian Tyler is composing score, with Haim Saban, Brian Casentini (who also did the Power Rangers TV Series) as well as Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen producing the film.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.
Power Rangers is set to hit in 2017.
