I am Bat…no, Steve Jobs

After Ashton Kutcher’s spirited portrayal of the legendary and mercurial founder of Apple, Steve Jobs in ‘Jobs,’ a new biopic is on its way. Oscar-winning Christian Bale is is set for the role, as confirmed by writer Aaron Sorkin. Sorkin added that they didn’t even bothered to audition Bale for the role. He’s as perfect to play Jobs as he is Bruce Wayne/Batman. I tend to agree.

Reportedly, a few A-List actors were considered for the role — Leonardo DiCaprio, Bradley Cooper, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon (what???). The title of the Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours) movie is still undetermined, but it is known that it is based on Walter Isaacson’s biography on Steve Jobs published back in 2011. It’s a great book, btw.

The award-winning writer Aaron Sorkin is famous for scripting West Wing, Social Network, The Newsroom and A Few Good Men.

In a Bloomberg interview, Sorkin was confident about Christian Bale’s ability to portray a difficult, complex man like Steve Jobs. “He has more words to say in this movie than most people have in three movies combined,” he adds further, “There isn’t a scene or a frame that he’s not in. So it’s an extremely difficult part and he is gonna crush it.”

With the dismal reception of previous Steve Jobs biopic, Jobs back in 2013 lets hope that this version can bring justice to the fascinating man.
