Entertainment Weekly featured a few official images from the highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in order to generate more buzz before their panel at SDCC. It is rumoured that Warner will showcase a new trailer or video clip during the panel and possibly assemble the new Justice League on the stage.
In the magazine Ben Affleck commented that Batman is quite similar to Shakespeare’s Hamlet, “We accept that he’s played by actors with different interpretations. He’s at the end of his run and maybe the end of his life. There’s this sort of world-weariness to it.”
Director Zack Synder chimes in on what he felt about Ben Affleck’s Batman, “I liked the fact that Ben was 6’ 4” and taller than Henry [Cavill]. I wanted Superman to have to feel like he was looking up to Batman despite being so much stronger.”
Meanwhile, Henry Cavill felt that, “I like to think that Man of Steel was the perspective of the world from Clark, Kal-El, looking at the world and trying to exist with in it. Batman v Superman is definitely more mankind’s perspective of Superman.”
In the photos, we got to see Wonder Woman (Gal Godot) without her superhero outfit, Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor who is still sporting his hair and weary looking Superman while being worshipped by his cohort of believers who thinks he is God.
We can’t wait to see what is in store at their panel at Comic-Con. The movie is set for a titanic clash on 28 March 2016.
