It’s been confirmed that there won’t be a Five Nights at Freddy’s 5, but the series creator Scott Cawthon has announced that he’s hard at work at a new game in the series, and its going to be an RPG.
The announcement came via the Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 Steam page, with Cawthon stating that he is planning a departure from the horror game he’s famous for. He says that this is because the story is complete for the game, and doesn’t need any adding to.
The new game, to be called Five Nights at Freddy’s World (FNAF World) and the demo is apparently going to be ready by Halloween.
“The new game that I’m working on will be called FNAF World. It will not be a horror game, but a role playing game where you create a party using the huge selection of characters from the FNaF games, including the classic, withered, phantom, and nightmare versions. I’ve been working steadily on characters and hope to start on enemy models next week.” says Cawthon. The characters aren’t going anywhere however, with Freddy and the gang to make a return, but in what capacity we’re not entirely sure.
The FNAF World is set to hit PC, Android and iOS when it’s ready. But there remains one question, what’s in the box?!
