Crypt of the Necrodancer

Crypt of the Necrodancer, the hit dungeon-crawling rhythm game is heading to console on 2 February.

An indie fave due to its simple gameplay, story and seriously awesome music, Crypt of the Necrodancer was originally launched on PC, where it continues to enjoy its popularity within the indie scene.

For those not in the know, the game features typical roguelike 2D dungeon crawling action with rhythm based movement and combat. Explore the crypt as a multitude of unlockable characters (with different playstyles) as Cadence works her way down to find her father and defeat the Necrodancer.

From what we can tell from the video, it pretty much looks the same as the PC version but it will come with some nifty extras. For starters it will feature cross buy support so if you get it on either PS4 or the Vita, you can get it for the other platform for free. There will also be a new exclusive soundtrack created by the composer for Shovel Knights Jake “Virt” Kaufman, plus an extra surprise that they’re not telling us about.

Did we mention the Playstation version will also support dance pad gameplay?

Crypt of the Necrodancer will tango down on 2 February 2016.
