A new Age of Empires game is heading to the PC courtesy of Relic Entertainment, the guys behind the Dawn of War series.
The new game will be Age of Empires IV, and they’ve already released an announcement trailer. This will actually be the first new Age of Empires game since 2005, with the first game releasing in 1997.

The trailer depicts epic battles through a variety of different periods and localities, be it the height of power for the Roman Empire to conquistadors and even samurai.
Also, Age of Empires II and III will be getting polished up Definitive Editions, so if you loved the games you can look forward to those as well.
No word on a release date yet, but hopefully we’ll be hearing about one soon.
