Looks like Dead Rising is getting another live action film, with the new film going by the name Dead Rising: Endgame.

A sequel to the first film, Dead Rising: Watchtower, the live-action films are both based on Capcom‘s Dead Rising zombie survival game franchise. Watchtower premiered last March.

The new movie will be seeing Jesse Metcalfe, Keegan Connor Tracy, Dennis Haysbert and Partick Sabongui return with new cast members.

The returning cast will include:

  • Jesse Metcalfe as Chase Carter
  • Keegan Connor Tracy as Jordan Blair
  • Dennis Haysbert as General Lyons
  • Patrick Sabongui as a “skilled zombie killer and video game aficionado” (a different role from the previous film)

New cast includes:

  • Victor Webster as Chuck Greene (the main character from Dead Rising 2)
  • Billy Zane as Rand
  • Marie Avgeropoulos as Sandra Lowe
  • Ian Tracey as George Hancock
  • Jessica Harmon as Jill
  • Camille Sullivan as Susan Ingot

That’s right, we’re getting Chuck Greene!

Directing the film is Pat Williams with Michael Ferris and Tim Carter handling the script. Carter is also producing the film under Legendary Digital Media, with Thomas Harlan as executive producer.

As for the plot, the movie will be following four characters as they try to get to the bottom of the source of infection that caused the zombie apocalypse. We’re not sure if they’re going to follow the same formula as the one used in the game, but we’re fairly sure it would be a close equivalent at the very minimum.
