Metafictional Adventures
Deadpool Killustrated Miniseries Issues #1-4
Deadpool has always had a tenuous grip on sanity and in the mainstream Marvel universe (Earth-616) he even knows he is a character in a comic book, making references to issue n numbers and talking directly to the reader.
In the Deadpool “Killogy”, an alternate universe Deadpool decides he no longer wants to be a puppet of comic creators and so goes about destroying the Marvel universe (Deadpool kills the Marvel Universe)
When things don’t quite go to plan, this murderous Deadpool takes a trip to the “Ideaverse” to try and kill the heroes of classic literature; the plan being to wipe out the some of the original inspiration for the Marvel superheroes, thus erasing all heroes from existence…apparently.
None of this matters, except as an excuse to have Deadpool massacre his way through classic literature. Offing Moby Dick (and Captain Ahab), stabbing Pinocchio, murdering everyone in the The Jungle Book and many more, in various entertaining ways. At one point he even gets his ass kicked by Louise May Alcott’s Little Women.
Soon though a “League of Extraordinary Persons” from literature, fronted by no less than Sherlock Holmes himself, set out to stop Deadpool, before he can destroy everything.
