Deadpool director Tim Miller apparently wants to work on a hybrid CG-animated and live-action feature starring Sonic the Hedgehog for Sony Pictures. Could this be the film fans were waiting for or the scariest news we’ve heard this week?

The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter and Miller himself just got out working on  Deadpool 2, due to creative differences with the main star of the show Ryan Reynolds.

So far, plans for the flick would be to make it a family film, with CG elements (likely the Sonic franchise characters) with physical actors. Miller, however won’t be directing, that falls on Jeff Fowler, the director and co-founder of Blur Studios. Neal H. Moritz (Fast & The Furious) is on board as well as a producer, with Patrick Casey and Josh Miller writing.

We’re not entirely sure what to expect out of this but we hope it’s a lot more awesome than awkward nightmare fuel. Here’s hoping for more solid news about the project soon.
