After being cast to play a younger Han Solo not too long ago, it’s now been rumoured that Alden Ehrenreich will be starring in a trilogy of Han Solo films.
If this report is true, then Ehrenreich’s character could very much be the center of a bunch of different movies. But he has signed on for at least three movies so, its likely to go far beyond just a bunch of cameos for more spinoffs.
Since Rogue One leads straight into the events of A New Hope, Han’s story could very well lead in through the same timeline as well, maybe both films will mirror each other’s events.
“They feel that his character has the right potential to become a central figure in several movies,” our source said. “They’re keeping things under wraps at the moment, but the deal is that he has signed for at least three movies.”
It’s also been rumoured that he is filming a small part in Rogue One as well, but that hasn’t yet been confirmed.
The first Han Solo anthology film hits cinemas Summer 2018.
