Celebrating it’s 30th anniversary this year, the Dragon Quest franchise have spawned a handful of merch that goes from slime shaped controllers all the way to eye drops. While those are a little on the weirder side of tie-in merch, this themed Nintendo 2DS XL, on the other hand, makes perfect sense.
The 2DS XL, sports a metal slime design with one such creature oozing from the corner of your 2DS against a black background chock full of Dragon Quest icons. The inside also has a tiny little metal slime decal printed onto the corner of the device.
The handheld will also ship alongside Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time (to be released 29 July on the 3DS), which also hits the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch sometime this year.
If you want to snag this for yourself, you can get the regular edition for 27,990 yen (about RM 1081) on Amazon and a special edition that comes with a Danboard kit for 30,500 yen (about RM 1177) for a little cardboard friend.
