A Dota 2 tournament, DreamLeague just upped their game big time by increasing their prize pool to 1Mil USD.
Since its inception, players and teams have clearly not given that much crap about this league with last-minute team changes and withdrawals being a commonality. It’s no secret that teams usually put more emphasis on other, more lucrative tournaments. However, according to Gosugamers, things might change as DreamLeague increased their prize pool from 175 000 USD to 1 Mil USD.
As for the format, DreamLegue Season 8 will have qualifiers for each of the 6 regions, which includes open and closed qualifiers. A total of eight teams will qualify for the LAN finals which will be held at the DreamHack Winter from 1-4 December.
