The long awaited sequel to Square Enix’s Nier, Nier: Automata has been delayed to a 2017 release on the Playstation 4.
The game was originally meant to come out this year but didn’t go according to plan.
Nier: Automata is developed by Platinum Games, and is an action RPG that follows the story of android 2B, 9S and A2 as they attempt to reclaim the land from “machine lifeforms” which have overrun it.
The main character here will be 2B, a battle android who kicks butt with a sword for close-quarters fights and a “Pod” system for ranged battles.
We’ll find out soon enough the exact launch date for the game, till then, enjoy the new trailer from E3.
