20th Century Fox reveals Victor Frankenstein starring James McAvoy (X-Men) as the titular character and David Radcliffe (Harry Potter) as his loyal assistant, Igor Strausman.
The studio’s official synopsis for the movie:
“James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe star in a dynamic and thrilling twist on a legendary tale. Radical scientist Victor Frankenstein (McAvoy) and his equally brilliant protégé Igor Strausman (Radcliffe) share a noble vision of aiding humanity through their groundbreaking research into immortality. But Victor’s experiments go too far, and his obsession has horrifying consequences. Only Igor can bring his friend back from the brink of madness and save him from his monstrous creation.”
Directed by Paul McGuigan (BBC Sherlock) with Max Landis (American Ultra, Chornicle) script, the trailers hint at buddy type movie with splashes of grimdark humour. Interestingly, the international trailer is focusing on the story from the viewpoint of Igor. Besides the two stars, other cast members include Andrew Scott (BBC Sherlock, Spectre) and Jessica Brown Findlay (Dowton Abbey) in supporting role.
We shall see the dead body lives at the cinemas on 25 November 2015.
